DSE User Training
As well as individual assessments we are also able to offer group training to provide information for DSE users to assess their own workstations. The course contents include:
Objectives:
- The objectives of this module include the following:
- an introduction to ergonomics
- the principles of accident prevention
- basics of the musculoskeletal system and the impact of work upon it
- factors contributing to poor work health
- hazards and risks associated with manual handling and be able to recommend suitable control precautions
- to understand the policy of the organisation, including arrangements for reporting systems, rehabilitation and job rotation systems
- How to complete a DSE assessment
In addition to the above learning objectives, the module should ensure that course participants have adequate information to enable:
- compliance with statutory duties and common law
- compliance with the organisations policies
- employees to work safely
- adequate response to problems
The course is classroom based and its duration 3 hours. Attendees will be provided with comprehensive course notes
